Born in a Manger

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. she wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
LUKE 2:6-7

when i read this scripture at a church service i went to on Christmas Eve i couldnt help but think of how humble God was. he could've came with a horse and chariot and a purple robe or even born in an extravagant hospital room with the best of the best because he is the King of Kings.but no he was born in a dirty, cold, smelly manger where animals stay in. noone would've imagined the creator of the universe, God of all things, THE GREAT I AM to come in such a quiet humble way.
If Jesus can humble himself in such a way...why can't we? being prideful is displeasing to God. by being prideful you are saying that you're better than God that you know more than him. doesn't that sound crazy? pride is a character trait that is not of God so we shouldn't be carrying that around. the very first day Jesus came into this earth he taught us a lesson. to be humble and stay humble. God loves humility so every morning you wake up make sure to put on that "garment of humility".

Before a downfall the heart is haughty

but humility comes before honor.

I love this scripture! it reassures me everytime i read it that all i need to to do is focus on God and the rest will be taken care of! this is God letting us know that we can trust him with our problems. that if we make sure his buisness is being taken care of that he will make sure our buisness is taken care of! it also has A LOT to do with trusting God. i mean think about it. he's specifically asking us to take our eyes and our minds off of our worldy affairs and put them on him. its not an easy task; if i can be real i have failed at this time and time again where i have focused and worried about school, and finances. worrying about those things doesnt change anything it just makes things worst!*learned that the hard way*

when you begin to truley trust God you seek him no matter the situation no matter what's around you. you can seek God in prayer, in reading the word of God, and in meditating on the word. when you're seeking God your eyes and concentration is on God and not your worldly affairs. He knows what he asked you, he knows all your worries and troubles, he knows its a big sacrafice and its difficult to set our minds on things unseen! why would he ask you to do this if he isnt gonna take care of all of that extra stuff?that would be horrible right? BUT....
he SAYS:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, AND ALL these things will be given to you as well.
when God SPEAKS every word that comes out of his mouth is truth...he's not a man that he should LIE. so if he says seek him FIRST and everything in your life will be taken care of then best believe that God meant what he said. God didnt say seek me and MOST/SOME/MAYBE/A LITTLE/ONE/TWO....NO God said ALL things will be given to you as well.

God is DOPE!

school started about 5 weeks ago and ever since then i have been busy with school.=( seems like i can never take a "break" and even when i do..(like im doing now)..i get behind in my school work. sorry i havent been posting lately hopefully i will be able to post soon maybe thanksgiving break or something.

NEW CUT!!

i cut my hair!! something I DONT do. my hair takes centuries to grow so i dont ever cut it..i decided 2010 new year, new creature NEW HAIR...lol..i cut it like days ago but i could totally relate me cutting my hair with my walk with Christ.
There are some things in my life that i dont want God to remove. Not knowing those very things are getting in the way of me receiving what i need to go higher. He wants to take me higher; my thinking, my actions, my heart, everything! im allowing stupid things to get in the way of my growth and thats not smart and not cool. The hair that fell represented sin, attitudes, actions that God wants to snip away from my life. In the process of cutting my hair i was upset and sad and almost cried!!! and thats what happens when God is at work in us. He is at work getting rid of the unnecessary Junk that doesnt need to be there. and in the mist of it all we are fussing, fighting, arguing, sometimes even resisting the change that NEEEDS to take place in our lives. change is good, dont fight change let it happen. I needed this haircut i had a bunch of dead ends that needed to go so that my hair could be healthy and grow. Thats exactly how our walk is with God, we have many dead ends that need to go in order for us to grow. and God wants to be your stylist and give you a new look! =) God is good..he gave me a word and i had to share it..teehee...

p.s. i wish i could show yall the cut!..i love it! it sucks i dont have a camera..one day i will own one... =)

Let The Waters Rise

This crazy flood happening in the East Coast is NUTS. it's out of control, thank God I live on higher ground so there is no flood where I'm at. I feel bad for those who have been affected by the flood they're in my prayers. the river that is close to my house is rising and overflowing a little bit and people are standing there watching it flow...it's funny... but as I watched the river *I was walking somewhere* I thought about Noah and the flood and the ark, then i remember God promised us that he will NEVER flood the earth again. =) . I thought about the story of Noah and how he listened when God called him to build the ark and how he obeyed. God asked him to prepare years before the rain actually came and Noah being that he was serious about serving God, he prepared.
Here in the East Coast the waters are rising and people are scared and possibly losing everything. Everyone deals with issues or situations that are troubling and unbareable at times. God never promised an easy life for anyone; so in life the waters(situations) will rise and these waters will test your foundation and your faith. when the waters rise who or what do you rely on? is your foundation strong enough to withstand the current? or will you crumble and drown?
Noah's foundation was Christ so when the waters rose and that flood came through he was protected, he was safe, and he was smart. Be like Noah and be smart about who and what you relay on. material things, careers, people, and anything that is of this world will not last so dont make those things the foundation of your life. Build your life upon the Rock which is Jesus Christ, he will always last, he will never leave you. Just trust him with your life, he gave it all FOR YOU why cant you give it all FOR HIM.
make him the Lord and savior of your life and make him the foundation so when the waters rise you have nothing to worry about because God's in control keeping you above water and protected.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe. - Proverbs 18:10

Something Beautiful

Ever needed something more?? Like you feel as though something is missing or incomplete?? lately havent felt any inspiration from God or anything. im feeling unaccomplished right now *this is NOTHING NEW*. listening to something beautiful by need to breathe and I feel like i need something beautiful in my life. not anything physical or materialistic or even something i can see. we cant see love but we desire to have it. we cant see God but we need him. It's Moving Day!!!

It's a FUN day today the coffee house I told yall about in the last post is TOONIIGHHT!!! yay! im excited.im busy to day but i made time for this post...

Today is moving day!! I'm not talking about moving things from one house to another. I'm referring to our bodies, hearts, mind, and soul. If you have given your life to Christ or have redeticated your life this blog is important to your walk.
This post will come out of these verses:

Romans 12:1
1 Corinthians 3:16
1 Corinthians 6:19
1 John 4:4

Being that we are the product of God's work we are HIS. our life our bodies and everything around us is loaned to us. the very beathe we breath is HIS and can be taken away at any moment. When we choose to live for Christ we invite him not only into our lives but our bodies as well. ever heard of the phrase "your body is a temple"? that's exactly what we are; Temples where God can move in and live within us. So if your harboring hate, jelousy, sin, envy, lust, idolatry, fornication, or whatever that is NOT Godly how can God move in and live within you.

Today is the day where you need to start moving the things that are holding you back from moving foward with God. When we are in sin, we are separated from God because God does NOT like sin. Through the blood of Jesus Christ we can be reunited with God because we are cleansed from sin and presented holy before the King. the only issue is staying holy and cleansed which is HARD but that's why we need Jesus in our lives. A way to take the steps to being presentable before God is getting rid of the trash that lies within us. We can't do it on our own so we ask God in prayer to help us move the things that he doesn't approve of out. Stop holding on to anger, grudges and anything else that is in the way. You will soon realize that holding on to hate and grudges does damage to YOU not the person you're angry at. God doesnt want you to stay in the same place, he wants to see you progess and succeed in life. so let go of everything that is in the way and if you dont know what those things are..ask God to show them to you...

I know that for me i can't do this without him, its not easy but he gives me the strength to endure all that i have been through. I can hold on to all the hate I want to but at the end of the day it doesn't do me any good.

SO in conclusion forgive those who have wronged you in any way. once you forgive there is a weight that is lifted and you can focus on your God given Purpose. examine yourself inside and out and see if there is room for God to move in. if it's crowded...God can't move in; He's a BIG God you can't just give him an inch...he wants all of you.

SO excited about this post because i came across an artist that is doing it BIIIG for Christ!! and i mean, i dont do this...
Mali Music is phenomenal! his voice is sooo unique. so far ive been listening to his music and im loving everything! im always on the prowl looking for christian music of any kind. lol. i get soo BORED with the same stuff no matter the genre. i like a variety of sounds so i cant just stick to one type of sound...my ipod has a mix of sounds that can appeal to almost everybody...SO Mali is definitely going in my ipod...YEAH!! his music is very soulful and laidback but most importantly his music Glorifies God! the Holy Spirit is all OVER his music....be sure to check him out!!

New Look

Hello...been while since i updated this thing! i was looking it over and i was bored with the layout so i decided to make my own banner and change it up...so far i like it...change is good. =)

so much has happened since i updated...man...im going through some things spiritually and im getting ready for the event we throw at my church every month..woohoo.. lol..maybe i'll upload some pics..=) this update wont be long cuz im about ready to go to the gym! ugh. anyways a lot is happening in the world right now and the world needs PRAYER...so keep chile and haiti in your prayers. if YOU need any prayer send me a comment or email me so i can be there for you through prayer.i know i may not know you...you may not know me but i dont mind praying for you. =)

Nothing really...

i saw that i havent updated this thing in a while sooo...

i went through a FaceBook/Twitter/Myspace fast last week and it was liberating. definently felt like i was on the road to a closer intimate relationship with my savior...i am not perfect so other things did distract me, unfortunatly. TV. but i did spend time with God and read his word on a daily basis. now that the fast is over its pretty difficult to keep it up but im TRYING!
things have changed though...my praise is different, and i just feel closer to him. so i did get something out of the fast.

i do have something to say though and i just want to talk to the ladies real fast...♥VALENTINES DAY♥
its like a day away and some of yall are probably feeling blue because youre still single and there is noone to spend time with on this day...i mean single people in general mostly hate valentines day.. =)
BUUUT!!
dont feel discouraged because you havent found "the one" yet, he's coming...he's on his way riding on his white horse to sweep you off your feet. =) but until that day comes let God be your valentine, he shows unconditional love to you on a daily basis so why not? this valentines day *whether you have someone or not* meditate on the love that God has for you. think about his goodness and mercy, grace. his love will fill you up more than a box of chocolate and roses.

in this time of being single keep your eyes on God and stay focused on your walk. your prince charming will come...its just not your time yet.

So i love poetry. I think its such an amazing way to express my inner most feelings and what not. Last night i couldn't sleep.*i cant sleep with no covers* so i listened to music and i feel like God blessed me with a poem and i would LOVE to share it with you...this is called

Dear My Beloved oh how i love thee

SO remember you are Loved, Adored, Valued, by the most high. and his love is endless for you, he loves you sooo much. and it hurts God when he watches you disrespect yourself and it also breaks his heart when you don't love yourself. you begin to love yourself and others BETTER when you realize the LOVE that God has for you. Boast in the love that he has for you.

Nailed to The Cross

Colossians 2:13-15 13. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14. having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Since the days of Adam and Eve we are all born sinners. The moment that Eve and Adam took a bite of the forbidden fruit we were cursed. Every generation was cursed with a sinful nature since birth. So from birth we are in-pure sinful beings, and without the Blood of Jesus Christ we wouldn't have a chance to get eternal life. We were sentenced to DEATH and we deserved God's wrath. But because of the love that God had for us he sent his only son to die for our sins *John 3:16-17*. Even while we were in our sin he looked down on us with love and still wanted to die for us..(that's BIG). When Jesus was crucified on the cross that act of love dismissed all the condemnation, death, judgement and everything that is against us! Everything that we deserved was nailed to the cross with him so that we can spend eternity with God in heaven. Christ overcame the world and knowing that, you should be able to overcome ANY circumstance with Christ. He has given us the Power to overcome...

Ephesians 4:22-24. 22. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23. to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24. and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Whenever we become Born Again we are made new in Christ and all the old things have past away. We should no longer live in the old attitudes, old habits, old way of speaking and or thinking. It's like everything about you changes and you become and new better person in Christ. If our old way of life is OK with God then Jesus dieing for us was a waste of time and energy. Our sinful nature was the reason why he died for us, he loved us so much and he wanted us to be with him and the only way was through his death.*Jesus is alive and well by the way =)* If we choose Christ were choosing to live for him and only him. You can't be saved and also live like the rest of the world it just doesn't make sense it just doesn't work. All of our sinful desires and everything we used to live for should have been crucified with Christ when we start to follow him. Its confusing when you meet a christian man/woman but they act like the world. Its a huge Pet Peeve of mine when i see on TV or in person people who claim Christ and say that they are saved or born again but they act like idiots..lol..its SO annoying because it says to the rest of the world "YOU CAN BE A CHRISTIAN BUT STILL DO WHAT U WANT ACT HOW U WANT AS LONG AS YOU GO TO CHURCH AND READ A BIBLE NOW AND THEN" and that's FAAAAAAARRR from what a follower of Christ really is. Don't pay attention to them please. We should strive for holiness...be determined to stay on the straight and narrow. So its time to get rid of the old person and put on the new one.

2 Corinthians 5:17. 17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ , he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Now that you have been made new everything in your past means nothing to God. What you do with the new life you have in Christ is what he's more concerned with. Believe that you are forgiven for every sin you've ever made, believe that God loves you enough to take you from that and bring you to a better place. God has awesome plans for each and every one of us, its up to you to believe what he says about you then what other people say about you. God thinks only good thoughts of us and wants us to be great men and women of God. The past is the past don't bring the past into your future! you'll never move forward! relax you are made new you're forgiven now go live an abundant life in Christ!! =)

The Love of Christ

A few days ago the world received devastating news about Haiti and the earthquake that completely wiped out the city of Port-au-Prince and did damage to other surrounding cities. Right now Haiti needs our help. I'm not Haitian you may not be either but it doesn't matter. We are all God's creation, so with that being said we need to show compassion to this country. You don't need to be a millionaire or own an organization to help out. There are many ways. Haiti could seriously use your prayers, money, supplies, clothes, food, water whatever that they need at this time. Its time to show Haiti the love of Christ that is in us. If you have no desire whats so ever to lend a helping hand in any way possible YOU DO NOT HAVE THE LOVE OF CHRIST IN YOU. I'm just saying. God does things that we cant understand and some things *I've learned* are not meant for us to fully understand. God can do whatever he wants. He can restore that country over night, bring them out of poverty and make them the richest country in the world, God has that ability and power. A lot of folks are upset with God or asking all the "WHY" questions that they can think of...but in his word it says that God knows what he is doing he is in TOTAL control of EVERYTHING. He is an ALL KNOWING GOD! he knew this would happened he planned it. So what we need to do is come together for Haiti and show them that we care. Show them that their is still some compassion left in this world. What we need to do as children of God is to show them the love of our redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ. Show them that Jesus Christ LOVES them through you.

There's a Gift Inside of you

We were all born with a talent or a gift to do something special in this world. God created us all with a purpose to fulfill. its up to us to find out what it is and then by faith pursue it.
Matt 25:14-29
(if u don't know)This Parable talks about how a man gives his servants talents to go and multiply to bring back to him. He gives each servant(3)a different number of talents. If you read the parable you can get the FULL story on how everything went down.

The parable helped me too see my talent differently. I love to sing its been a dream of mine since i was a small child and its something that I feel in the depths my heart. But I always felt like what i had to give wasn't good enough, and I'm sure we all feel that way about a lot of things in our lives. I want to say i felt like the servant who received the 1 talent. All around me were talented people who i felt were better than me and i ignored the fact that I was God made and my talent was just as good as theirs was...WHY?? Because it came from a perfect God. Anything that is good comes from God and I didn't know that back then. If you read the parable the servant with the 1 talent dug a hole and buried his talent in the ground and hid it. When we decide to "dig a hole" and hide our talent we don't get better and grow. All God wants is the best for us, he wants to expand our territory and give us MORE by trusting him.

When we proceed to hide behind our invisible walls of fear nothing gets done. Were not living to our fullest potential. Understand that the gift and talents that are inside of you are worthy. Don't allow people, haters, fears or anything else stop you from living out your purpose. Don't be like that servant who decided to hide his talent instead of multiply. When you make that decision to step out in faith and use your talents...God sees that and says "If they can take what I've given them and do all of this then they can handle the many other things that i have in store" he wants that for your life. God is SO good that he doesn't want to see you in the same place forever, he delights in giving you more and moving you towards and towards your God given purpose. strengthen your talents whatever they are and start living your life the way God intended it to be. He'll never leave you or forsake you, he'll never give you more than you can handle he knows exactly who you are and what you can do. God has faith in you...so have faith in him. Trust him with your dreams...he will give you more than you've ever imagined.

Beautiful Heart

I decided to start this blog for many reasons...one is I created this account since high school and never really attempted to create my own blog. so i figured why not try this out for a few months and see where it takes me. another is I want to allow God to use me through all of my networking pages like: twitter, face book, myspace and now BLOG SPOT!

Hopefully i will be able to add posts every week depending on my mood and memory. I pray that anything I share on here will bless your heart and encourage you in Christ. and even if NOBODY reads these i will continue to post and maybe just maybe (bcuz God is Able) SOMEBODY will be open to what i have to say.

I may not be important to you and maybe what i have to say doesn't matter But everyone has a voice...I'm just using every opportunity to use mine... =)
